One of the great ways we can care for each other as a community is to provide meals during some of the more challenging periods of life. As a guide, for those having babies we'd love to provide five meals a week for the first two weeks (or a helpful variation of this) after the return from hospital. There are other times such as loss of a loved one where not having to worry about cooking for even a few nights can be a real blessing too.
JOINING THE COOKING TEAM
If you're happy to serve others in this way, we'll put you on a list that is provided to our meals co-ordinators. When the time comes we'll ask you to cook a meal or two for a particular household. We'll let you know any dietary restrictions, who you are cooking for, what night the meals are needed and where to deliver them.
JOINING AS A MEALS CO-ORDINATOR
Sarah Golder is managing this team and the meals co-ordinators. If you're happy to be a co-ordinator you can still cook a few meals but you'll also take responsibility for co-ordinating the other meals for that household. This way we won't burn Sarah out and it should be a manageable task for all.
For more information or to join the team just email Sarah at email@example.com.
