As a community we believe the Bible is much more than a collection of historical records, moral lessons, promises and commands. It is a unified story of God's loving and ongoing work to save humanity from their sin.
"God created the world, and after human rebellion had marred it, God set out to restore what he had made: 'God did not turn his back on a world bent on destruction; he turned his face toward it in love. He set out on the long road of redemption to restore the lost as his people and the world as his kingdom."*
The centrepiece of God's great plan was when God himself entered our world as the man Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus' teaching was both loved and hated, and has endured almost 2,000 years. He performed many signs and wonders, both to authenticate who he was and to show us what life in His kingdom will be like, without disease, death or separation from God.
The most important moment in human history occurred when Jesus willingly went to His death on the cross. Jesus did this to pay the just penalty, death, for our rebellion and sin against our loving creator God. Because of this, each person on earth who gives their life to Jesus as Lord and Saviour can come into a loving and eternal relationship with God once more.
