SUNDAY 25 July at Home

While we're under the current lockdown we've decided to do church at home a little different than last year. Our heart is to see people continue to engage with God's word and discussing the implications, parents opening the bible with their kids, our whole community learning a new song to encourage us in our mission to share the great news of Jesus and spending some time in prayer.

Below you'll find the resources for this weekend to use at a time that suits you, we hope you find them encouraging..

FOR OUR ADULTS AND YOUTH

We're starting a new series "The love of Christ compels us" this week. Cam Maxwell will be kicking off the series and providing discussion questions. More info is here.

LEARN A NEW SONG

Kelli Hobbs and Jamie Seyfang wrote a new song just for this series. We had grand hopes of learning it together this Sunday and singing together. We can still do so in our homes, out for some exercise or in the car. Just hours before lockdown Kelli and Jamie recorded a quick demo, you can listen to and download the song below. It'd be great to print out the quick update sheet above as the lyrics are on page two.

COMPELLED BY LOVE

You can watch this weeks sermon or listen to a demo of the new song by Kelli Hobbs and Jamie Seyfang below. Lyrics sheet above.

FOR THE KIDS

We were keen this time around for parents to spend a little time opening the bible with their kids, perhaps doing a little craft for the young ones. Katy has put together some resource for Mini's and junior primary kids including a video and discussion questions and a short bible study for our upper primary kids. You can find it all here.

For kids and youth aged year seven and up, just like a regular Sunday we'd encourage you to listen along to or watch the sermon above and have a chat about it after.

WHEN WE RETURN

When we're back on Sundays there will be:

- A warm welcome out on the veranda with barista coffee, tea and some food.

- A service that runs for about an hour starting at 9am and 10:30am.

- Live music and singing.

For our kids (and their parents) we have:

- Creche for children under three years old.

- A kids teaching program for kids aged three to year six.

- Youth (from year seven up) can also stay with us in the service.

After the services there'll be more tea, coffee and morning tea and plenty of time to meet new people.

WONDERING ABOUT TONSLEY?

We're currently preparing to, God willing, plant a new church somewhere in the Tonsley area on October 17 this year. You'll here us refer to it in this weeks sermon and we'll be talking more about it in the weeks and months ahead.  We did a trial service there on ANZAC day this year as we had to be out of our home at the RSL. Have a look at the below 90 second video to get a feel for what we're thinking we'd love to see at Tonsley. If you'd like more information contact Cam at cam.maxwell@trinity.church.
