what to expect
Coming to church for the first time can seem a little daunting but we hope that whoever you speak to you'll recieve a warm welcome. Come a little before either our 9am or 10:30am service so you can grab a drink, a bible and have a chat. If you have kids 2 years old or under you can drop them in creche from 15 minutes before the service starts.
In our services starts we usually sing a song or two to help prepare us for hearing God's word. We then have a children's talk for a few minutes and often will sing a childrens song together afterwards. The children from age 3 to year 6 at school then have the opportunity to go to their children's programs for the rest of the service or they can stay in. We also have a parents room with video and audio feed if that's helpful.
We sometimes change the order around after that but we will always pray for our community, our city and our world. We will always have a bible reading which we then preach on to show you how it relates to Jesus, God's great plan of redemption for our world and how we fit into it. During the sermon you can ask questions via SMS which will be answered by the preacher on the day during the 10:30 service and put online.
We usually have a little more music with the 9am service running for about an hour and five minutes and the 10:30 an hour and fifteen. Once a month we also will share bread and wine as we remember Jesus death on the cross for our sins. Dress is fairly casual, anyone is welcome and you don't need to participate in any part of the service you don't want to.
